IS101 Week 2 Lesson: 2.2.8 Windows Setting Facts

In truth my 1st 2 weeks of IS101 has been truly stressful as a 1st time college student. I started slightly ahead of the game completing the bonus quiz 1 to 100% while working on completing the A1, A2, and D1 assignments. During my attempts to complete the A1, A2, and D1 to 100% I found myself confused most of the time trying to meet the standards and deadlines that Professor Wu set for the assignments. Though it's much appreciated of Professor Wu understanding of the situation especially for struggling 1st time students such as myself it doesn't change the fact of not meeting the standards set forth by Professor Wu.

Having stated these facts, I have finally found my, balance with time management as well as understanding the step-by-step process of the assignments given by Professor Wu and as such this assignment will be my last past due assignment. I now look towards the future of each week class session and assignments that come with them as I will be able to meet and continue with the standards set for by Professor Wu to be successful not only in his class, but for my, college career up to and beyond graduation.

Checking the status of my, computer, learning to connect my, computer to system networks through ethernet cable or WiFi, personalize how windows is displayed, manage accounts by adding/deleting, changing how the time and date are displayed, option to configure equipment for gaming, manage accessibility, and control over privacy/security on my, system.

  6. Joshua, I think diving into the Windows settings for IS101 is pretty cool. It's interesting how customizing those can really tweak our system’s performance and usability. I enlarge my mouse and darken my applications when I can. It helps me get more done without straining my eyes.

  9. Hey Joshua, I agree with understanding the windows settings is important! When I bought my PC back in 2020, I configured all of the settings to turn off background app refresh and played with other settings to prioritize gaming over everything because that's all I would use the computer for until covid came around.

  10. Hi Joshua. I also had time management issues mainly due to work. Being a first-time student, it can be difficult to know what areas your time should be applied. I am glad you found a balance.

  11. Hi Joshua, I agree because I didn't have much time during the week to do my work I have to ajust my work and finish it in one go at a sitting.
